What to pack for Exchange?

As you have probably gather from reading my blog or watching my youtube…I am going on an exchange to France for a year. And maybe if your reading this you’re trying to figure out what to pack yourself or maybe your thinking of going on exchange yourself too. Well let me tell you as a girl this whole packing thing is very hard. I have picked out all my clothes, but I still think I’m going to be over the weight limit of 44lbs.

Anyway I should probably start with the restrictions for luggage that AFS requires. AFS allows you to have one checked luggage bag that cannot exceed 44lbs. They also allow you to have one checked carry-on bag the cannot exceed 8in x 16in x 21in and up to 16lbs. A tip AFS gives is that when you find out your domestic and international airlines, go to the airline website and find information about the size/weight restrictions and fees.

One blog I found recommended 7-10days worth of clothes, but you see that just won’t work for me. I love shopping and fashion so I may have “overpacked”  in that region. oh well. Here’s all of the stuff I packed….
